SAN DIEGO, CALIF (February 22, 2011) - At Home Care Solution, Inc., a new in-home care giving service provider, created and run by San Diego local and former investigative reporter and 10News anchor, Lauren Reynolds, is quickly taking its footing in San Diego's growing home healthcare industry.

Reynolds, an award-winning consumer advocate and journalist, worked as an investigative/consumer reporter and anchor at 10News San Diego for 15 years. It was her own mother's courageous battle against breast cancer and need for help at home that inspired her to open At Home Care Solution, Inc., a certified provider of home care services throughout San Diego County.

At Home Care Solution Awarded CAHSAH Certification

At Home Care Solution, Inc. has received the prestigious certification of the California Association of Health Services at Home.

This stamp of approval demonstrates the company's commitment to exceeding industry standards for home care. Certified agencies have proven they are properly insured and thoroughly investigate all care providers.

"We took the optional, extra step of going after certification because we want only the best for our clients. The fact we were approved shows we adhere to our mission of keeping our clients safe and ensuring that we enhance every life we touch," said Lauren Reynolds, President of At Home Care Solution and former 10News investigative and consumer reporter.

Clients of At Home Care Solution can rest assured that background checks include a 7 year social security number trace and checks against local, state and national criminal court databases. Employees must also have a clean driving record and pass a TB test.

There is no license and there is little oversight for home care companies in California. Some less reputable companies operate out of back rooms without security checks or legally required insurance.

"Not all companies want certification because of the extra cost involved in applying for it and also the extra money it takes to properly screen employees," explained Reynolds.

She added that since certification is the only regulation of home care companies in California, "I believe any penny spent protecting the interest of my San Diego County clients is well worth it."
